What services do I provide?
Below you’ll see four broad categories of services. If your child’s needs don’t seem to fit in any of them, contact me and we can figure out a solution tailored just for them.
I work with students of all kinds—from public schools and private schools, here in California, across the United States, and as far away as Asia. I specialize in working with students in middle and high school.
Enrichment
Is your child bored in school? Do they need a challenge? An enrichment course in writing or literature will keep their mind growing and prevent intellectual atrophy and academic disenchantment.
Skill Building
Reading closely and writing precisely are complex, mentally demanding tasks that require a regular dose of practice. If your child needs extra help with building competencies like these, a one-on-one skill-building course will do the trick.
College Apps
I won’t write your college admissions essays for you. But I will help you hone your voice, message, and grasp of the unique demands of this kind of writing. I’m proud to say my clients have won admission to top schools like Columbia, UPenn, Northwestern, USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and the University of Virginia.
Group Classes
I offer courses in literature, grammar, and writing for groups ranging from two to eight students. Whether for enrichment or skill building, a group class offers students a sense of community and shared purpose.
